Mumbai mansion seems like a restuarant to go to if you want to be treated with class and royalty. The food is absolutly brilliant, i would recommend it to couples, or if your on a great night out with your friends then enjoy a good meal out.

A friend and I went to try this new restaurant in November last year; it looks great from outside but I haven't been so disappointed in an Indian restaurant for a very, very long time.We started by asking to order drinks - I asked for draught Indian lager but the 'pumps haven't been connected yet'. My friend asked to see the wine list, which was duly produced but we were advised that this was for 'information only' (!!!) as they had none of the wines on the list - only a house white or house red...not a good start!!The starters were very disappointing - tasteless and limp.My main course - biryani - was more promising. Well presented and tasty but a small portion.Overall, it was unimpressive and pricey and I won't return. The waiters (or rather one in particular)were over-attentive, to the point of being too familiar. Take my advice and give it a miss!!

You would normally have to go to "The Faulty Tower's Experience" during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to experience such a farce as we did last night! Newly decorated, new Indian Restaurant with what became a circus of clown acts. Firstly we ordered our starter of mixed Pakora which took half an hour to be served, after reminding the waiter 3 times that we needed our food. When the food came, it was followed by a large radiator panel crashing to the ground that fortunately missed another diners head. Then came the screeming fire alarm for twenty minutes. The staff ran around like demented quails trying to sort the torture of this high pitched siren. We left and stood outside due to the earache and lack of help from the staff. Other diners then moved as the quails pulled fuses from the electrical cupboard in the main restaurant. Then came the mains, incorrect order and passed the correctly prepared food to the wrong people. After a further wait and huge explanations we had to provide to get the correct food. Finally the siren went off and one waiter exclaimed "free drinks for everyone," which never appeared or were discounted on the bill. Finally the bill came with the manager saying he had added "our special 20% off" (the usual 20% discount offered to every client of an Indian Restaurant). However, we had been incorrectly overcharged nearly £16 for roasted chicken, of which we had one and had been charged for two! The menu does not state that roast chicken is nearly £16, but it is.The food is acceptable, the staff are totally inexperienced and lack a professional service. They are far too familiar and almost verge on obnoxious.I wouldn't recommend this place, it's overpriced, unprofessional and pretty average food.Maybe it could get better after some experience. Watch out for the big chandelier, it looks like that's next to fall! Have a look at the roof fittings of it, worrying and shoddy!
